The Internship Exhibition
WHAT DAY IS IT? Tuesday, June 8th
WHAT TIME IS IT? 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
WHAT IS IT? A chance for staff members and students to walk around and look at your internship projects and talk to you about your internships.
WHY ARE WE DOING IT? One of the most important reasons that we have the Internship Exhibition is so that next semester's interns get a chance to see the different internship opportunities and talk to you all about your experiences. It's also an opportunity for you to give the students good, clear, honest information about your internships so that they are able to make informed decisions about their own internships next year.
WHY ELSE ARE WE DOING IT? You have worked hard this semester and you should be recognized for your effort. Enjoy this day! It's a chance to show off all of your accomplishments from internship AND show how well you communicate with people.
WILL YOU BE GRADED? Yes! You will be graded on three factors:
1) Preparedness: Is all your work completed and ready to present on the afternoon of the exhibition.
Also--You are expected to be at your table for the whole fair. If someone comes over to look at
your presentation board and you are not there to answer his/her questions, that will affect your
grade. Look at your friends' exhibits before the fair starts or after it ends because you must be at
your own exhibit.
2) Reflection: Can you give thoughtful and complete answers to questions about your internship?
Can you discuss your experience with others and talk about your internship site mission, your
mentor, your duties, your learning (skills and knowledge you gained)?
3) Advertisement: Is your advertisement neat and attractive, easy to read, grammatically correct, eye catching, and full of important information about your internship? Does it make your internship
sound appealing?
The presentation grade you receive from the Exhibition will be count heavily (25%) toward your final internship seminar semester grade.
If you have any questions, ask me asap (as soon as possible). You can ask me at school or send me an email with your questions to smburk@gmail.com. I look forward to seeing great work and excellent presentations from you. Good luck!
