iMentor Vocabulary Assignments Due Friday April 9th

Your internship sites are rich with new and unfamiliar terms or phrases. One of the goals of the internship is to further develop your English language proficiency. iMentor can also help with that. Once or twice a month, you are to publish a post about new vocabulary words or phrases that you have encountered or picked up at internship or through reading your iMentor's messages.

>Due Dates:
Friday March 19th - 5 new words
Friday April 9th - 8 new words

INSTRUCTIONS
You have the choice of creating a post in YOUR BLOG or making vocabulary pages for the WORD WALL. Find your words and phrases at internship, from your iMentor's emails, from a magazine or newspaper, or words you see on signs or while on public transportation.

For each word:

1 - Make a heading in your journal with the vocabulary word.
2 - Write the word in your native language
3 - Write a sentence using the word. Either copy your iMentor's sentence using the word or write the sentence from whatever source you have. If it's from an email, include the date of the email. If it's from an article, write the name of the article. If it's a word or phrase you learned at internship, write a context. For example,
Context: At my internship site, my mentor always tells me to explore a variety of professions before I choose a career. .
4 - Write the dictionary definition of the word.
5 - Write your own definition of the word

Here's an example:
